  1. Minors

If you are below the age of 18, you may use our website only with the permission and active involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If you are a minor, please do not provide us or other website visitors with any personal information. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at support@ReasonU.org.

  1. Refund Policy and Violations

When a student is placed on the class roster, income is committed to that teacher and the student is assured a spot in the class. Since most classes are limited in size your registration may prevent other students from registering for that class. We do realize that circumstances may arise which would prohibit you from taking a class for which you are registered. In that situation, this is our refund policy:

Dropping/withdrawing from a class BEFORE you begin the course:

For Basic/Self-paced courses: If you drop or withdraw from a class prior to beginning course work, you will be given a refund for the total course amount paid less 5% of any amount paid.
For all other courses: If you drop or withdraw from a class prior to the first day of the course, you will be given a refund for the total course amount paid less 5% of any amount paid.

These fees are imposed due to processing fees charged to us during your registration and payment procedure.

Dropping/withdrawing from a class AFTER the course begins

For Basic/Self-paced courses:
No refund is offered once the course material has been accessed.

For all other courses:
during the first 10% of the course period = total purchase amount minus 20%
during the next 11 – 25% of the course period = total purchase amount minus 40%
during the next 26 – 100% of the course period = no refund is offered

These fees are imposed due to processing fees charged to us during your registration and payment procedure. In addition, because we must work with the assumption that students enrolled in a course will complete the course, staff has been hired and course preparation, instruction and administration work has been completed by us in advance – including your student communication, assignments, teacher prep, notes, lessons, quiz creation, and many other duties performed for you.

Upgrade/Downgrade Policy:

If Upgrading — Upgrading to a higher level of the course you are currently enrolled in (if available) is an option during the first 25% of the course you are currently enrolled in, no withdrawal fees apply. The difference between the cost of the courses is due upon upgrade.
If Downgrading — Downgrading to a lower level of the course you are enrolled in (if available) is an option during the first 25% of the course you are currently enrolled in. The refunded amount will have the dropping/withdrawing fees outlined above deducted from the difference between the new course cost and the old course cost.

These fees are imposed due to processing fees charged to us during your registration and payment procedure and because we must work with the assumption that students enrolled in a course will complete the course, staff has been hired and course preparation, instruction and administration work has been completed by us in advance – including your student communication, assignments, teacher prep, notes, lessons, quiz creation, and many other duties performed for you.

VIOLATIONS

Violations will be determined at the sole discretion of ReasonU and ReasonU Member course providers. If you are found in violation of the Terms of Service, you may be subject to one or more of the following actions:

  • Receiving a zero or no credit for an assignment;
  • Having any certificate earned in the course withheld or revoked;
  • Being unenrolled from a course; or
  • Termination of your use of the Site.
  • Additional actions may be taken at the sole discretion of ReasonU and ReasonU Member course providers.

No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations.

  1. Effective Date and Updates

The Terms are effective as of November 20, 2017 and are subject to change without notice by ReasonU at any time. Please check for changes regularly. Your use of this Site after such changes constitutes your agreement to such changes.

  1. What is the ReasonU Statement of Faith?

ReasonU is an evangelical, inter-denominational Christian ministry. We seek to present evidence that the Bible is true. We do not require others in the body of Christ with whom we partner to hold certain positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. While we do believe that these issues are significant, our primary concerns are with the effects that false ideologies are having on the world and the body of believers (particularly our young people).

As a statement of faith, ReasonU agrees with and holds to The Apostle’s Creed:

[We] believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

[We] believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

[We] believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy [universal] church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. AMEN.
